The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014.

Friday, 3 October 2014

Latest In Beauty are a beauty box company, the slight difference between them and other beauty boxes is that lastest in beauty isn't monthly. You buy the boxes you like. I love this idea as you see the products you get in each box and can work out if you think it's worth the money each time.  They also do a great idea where you can build your own box.

I picked up The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014 box, this is my first ever box from them but I have to say I thinks it's the best one I've seen from them yet.

I thought I would run through what you get in the box, an give you my thoughts on the products I've already tried.

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence Conditioning Spray -  This is a leave-in protecting spray, its defends against daily heat, styling and breakage. I am yet to try this but if I enjoy it I will review it.

Bourjois Volume 1 Second Mascara - Clump free definition that provides volume. I have used this a few times now an I am wowed, it's a great mascara and I would say its quite similar to the Benefit They're Real.

Nude Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick - Five flesh toned lipsticks to rock the barely there look. I have used this once and the formula is great, I was given the shade Coffee Craze I would say this shade is a little dark for me but I will be trying the other shades from this collection.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - Cult cleanser, removes makeup & dirt leaving skin clean & conditioned. I have always wanted to try this but was always worried it wouldn't help me skin, I've used it a few times now an I'm really enjoying it.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Vitamin rich gel primer. I have always wanted to try a primer from Laura Mercier and I'm finally happy I have, it's a great primer.

James Read Sleep Mask Tan - All year summer glow. I haven't had the chance to try this, an to be very honest I'm a little scared to, I may try this on a patch of skin no one will see in case it goes bad.

Eyeko Mascara Off Eye Makeup Remover Wipes - No more scrubbing at the eyes with these wipes designed to remove mascara. I haven't used eyeko products in a long time, I'm excited to try these after a night out as I tend to go overboard with mascara when going out as I'm not a big fan of false eyelashes.

You also get a 12 month subscription to glamour on you iphone/ipad for a discounted price.

I would highly recommend this box and many other latest in beauty boxes as they are great value.

Tea Party

Wednesday, 13 August 2014
A few weeks ago now my mum decided to throw a lady’s only garden party, my mum gets way into planning things so everyone knew this was going to be a good day. All the tea cups we bought were from charity shops or vintage. I thought I would share a few snaps with you. We had paper straws and everything.

Brighton Day Out

Saturday, 19 July 2014

On Monday I hopped on the train with the lovely Dionne to Brighton. We picked a great day to go as the weather was beautiful, we sat on the beach, walked the pier and just had a great day.
We took a trip to choccywoccydoodah to get a drink, I had a great peanut butter milkshake with so much whipped cream, and I got a snap of Dionne enjoying the huge marshmallow she found in her hot chocolate.  We had a little walk around the lanes as well.
Over all I had a lovely day and will be back soon to enjoy the sun and sea air some more.

By The Seaside

Thursday, 17 July 2014

I took a little day trip to Brighton on Monday and got the lovely Dionne to take a few snaps of my outfit while we enjoyed a walk on the beach.
I didn’t realise until after I left my house that my whole outfit is Primark. I picked up this skirt a few weeks back, on the hanger it was horrible but I thought I would give it a chance and I love it on, with the cami tucked into it I feel the skirt is a little 60’s looking and its was a bargain £8.
My cami and sandals are from last year but are very much loved.

Weekend Pamper Night

Sunday, 13 July 2014

When I have no plans on the weekend my favourite thing to do is have a pamper night, I thought it would be nice to share what my pamper night consists of.
If I have any makeup on or not I always start with a cleanser to clean my skin, I’ve never been one for cleansers as I’ve never been able to find a good one for my skin until I was recommended the gentle cleanser from Crystal Clear. It’s very gentle on the skin and is designed to be used with the Crystal Clear microdermabrasion machine.
I always have to have a mask on a pamper night, my favourite brand for masks is Quick Fix. This brand has lots of different types of masks. I will be doing a review on them soon.
Before I get in the bath I like to use my Elle Macpherson Rotating Dry Body Brush, using a dry body brush before a shower or bath is great for your skin, as you are removing dead skin cells and prompting blood circulation.
When I run my bath I always like to have candles nearby as it just sets the mood for relaxation, an I also love to catch up on my TV shows while I’m in there, an as you can see right now its season 2 of Orange Is The New Black.
After my bath I finish off with the rest of my skin care.

Girly Weekend With Dionne

Monday, 23 June 2014

Last weekend I had the lovely Dionne come stay over. I popped up central to meet up with Dionne for breakfast at Bill’s an oh my was it good. After full belly’s we went for a wonder around London, which ended up spending £35 in boots opps.

I was helping Dionne film a few new videos for her channel which will be coming soon so go subscribe now. One of the videos needed to be filmed outside so we went for stroll down the back of where I live. After a super long walk which as around 1-2 hours long we deserved a much earned dominos, we finished our night with face masks and a film.
